In the morning, we continue to visit Grand Circuit of amazing temples:
– Preah Khan temple : Built by King Jayavarman VII dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly
exportable monastic complex, and served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks.
Neak Pean temple: A small island temple located in the middle of the last Baray, constructed by a Khmer king in the Angkor area
– Ta Som temple: is a small temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built at the end of the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII.
– East Mebon temple is a 10th Century temple at Angkor, Cambodia. Built during the reign of King Rajendravarman, it stands on what was an artificial island at the center of the now dry East Baray reservoir.
– Pre Rup temple (turn the body), was constructed in late 10th century dedicated to Hindu gods. This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple.
– Banteay Samre is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, located 400 metres to the east of the East Baray.[1] Built during the reign of Suryavarman II[2]: 119 and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century, it is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style.
– Banteay Srei is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today and one of the finest carvings in world.
